Seeing is NOT believing, as shown in this example.

Creases and flaws were removed. Color was changed to black and white.

Retouching

Photo was altered to give it a more professional look. Blemishes, shines and distractions were removed. Background was erased and made dark so subjects are the focus of the picture.

Composition Christmas card

This Christmas card is a composite picture. The dogs are from different pictures. The cat and bird are from a third picture. The hats all came from the same picture of a single hat. It was cloned,  scaled, rotated, flipped, cut and pasted to fit each animal. The holly in the border is also from one picture that was copied and flipped.

Zoar Hotel - Zoar, Ohio (Separatist Settlement)

Picture was straightened; distracting objects were removed; colors were enhanced.

A photograph of my "booth" was required to enter the Art on the Square, but I didn't have one yet. I borrowed a picture of a booth from a friend and added my own photos. Various techniques to skew and change the perspective of each added photo were used as well as lighting techniques. I did manage to get a real booth and it looked, amazingly, a lot like the picture. Some of my photos can be seen in the photo gallery.

This little video was made using the "layers" of the completed project.
